Associate Material Management (Freight, Tender & Facilities)

About the role

Singapore Airlines is hiring an Associate for its Material Management department within the Engineering Division. The post supports the administrative functions of freight, tenders and facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the filing of Material Management contracts and agreements
• Maintain and monitor lease agreements and floor plans of warehouse space leased by SIA
• Verify the space leased by SIA on an annual basis for audit requirements of SIA Properties
• Maintain and update the asset listing
• Monitor the performance of the Automated Storage-Retrieval System (ASRS) in the warehouse and coordinate with maintenance contractors for servicing and repairs
• Compile and verify reports from freight forwarders against AWB and shipping documents for monthly GST reporting to Taxation, and verify freight invoices
• Support the tender and RFP process and contract administration for the Engineering Division and other divisions as required

Required profile

• Diploma in any discipline
• Able to engage directly with vendors and line engineers on the shop floor
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Motivated, driven and a team player who can also work independently
• Able to work under pressure
