Associate Principal Investigator / Senior Scientist (Immunochemistry)

About the role

Labcorp is seeking an Associate Principal Investigator / Senior Scientist in immunochemistry to join its team in Singapore. The role acts as Study Director / Principal Investigator / Responsible Scientist for research studies, taking overall responsibility for the technical conduct, analytical direction, review, documentation and reporting of results in compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze biological or chemical samples and develop or validate methodologies for compounds and components.
• Document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records.
• Maintain and operate general equipment, and inform management of problems or deviations affecting data integrity.
• Serve as lead chemist on projects, overseeing a small group of technical staff with minimal supervision.
• Set up and perform method development and validation of analytes in various matrices, and organize, conduct and evaluate analytical results.
• Perform QC review of data, write, revise and review methods, SOPs and parts of reports and protocols, and assist in preparing final reports.
• Host or take part in external client meetings and client visits, and train and assist less experienced staff.
• Participate in project meetings, plan and monitor project work, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Analytical Chemistry, Immunology or Biochemistry.
• 4 years or more of experience using and troubleshooting analytical equipment.
• Preferred: 2 years or more designing and running chemistry tests and analyzing results; 1 year or more of hands-on experience with cell-based assays, flow cytometry (FACS) and qPCR.
• Proven experience as a technical resource, data evaluator, project leader and in writing reports.
