Associate Professor (Teaching Track) – Educational/School Psychology

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) at Nanyang Technological University seeks an Associate Professor (Teaching Track) in Educational/School Psychology. This non‑tenure‑track position focuses on delivering high‑quality teaching across undergraduate, graduate and professional programmes while contributing to scholarship of teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and continuously improve courses at undergraduate, graduate and professional development levels.
• Conduct research that informs educational practice and policy, especially in teaching and learning.
• Develop an active research programme and publish in reputable peer‑reviewed journals.
• Establish collaborations with local and international academic and professional communities.
• Participate in curriculum development, programme leadership and institutional initiatives.
• Undertake departmental and institute service and administrative duties.

Required profile

• PhD in psychology or a closely related field with a specialisation in educational or school psychology.
• Minimum of four years of excellent teaching experience, including innovative approaches and use of educational technology.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Eligibility for registration or current registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists.
