ATE Test Hardware Design Director

About the role

This senior position leads global engineering teams in designing, developing and validating automated test equipment (ATE) hardware for semiconductor products. The director ensures first‑time‑right silicon validation and high‑volume manufacturing readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical road‑maps and oversee the design, delivery and quality of test hardware such as load boards and probe cards.
• Manage risks, coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with BL Test Engineering and Operations, and drive hardware lifecycle planning.
• Lead vendor relationships and ensure alignment with company goals for ATE development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering.
• Minimum 10 + years experience in hardware design, testing and validation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading test hardware initiatives in a fast‑paced semiconductor environment.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in semiconductor test flows and SI/PI simulation for digital, mixed‑signal, high‑speed, RF and mmWave.
• Hands‑on experience with Advantest 93K, Exascale, J750, UltraFlex, UltraFlex+ platforms.
• Project management and vendor coordination abilities.
