Backend / Full Stack Engineer – Cloud Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Backend / Full Stack Engineer to join a dynamic engineering squad that builds and operates the Singapore Government Commercial Cloud Platform. You will work on both frontend and backend components, contributing to large‑scale automation and cloud landing zones across multiple cloud providers.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in design, development, and operation of the Government Commercial Cloud Platform.
• Lead development communities to deploy solutions on the cloud platform.
• Develop and maintain a self‑service developer portal using React.js and TypeScript.
• Build APIs and automation scripts in NodeJS and Python.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment processes with GitLab and Terraform.
• Provide DevOps expertise, focusing on automation, availability, scalability, and resiliency.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in both backend (API) and frontend development.
• Proficiency in React.js (frontend) and Python or NodeJS for API development.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure deployment and automation.
• Willingness to learn Infrastructure as Code, Policies as Code, and Git workflows.
