Basic Care Assistant / Care Support Associate

About the role

JurongHealth Campus, comprising Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital, is looking for Basic Care Assistants to join its teams across various disciplines and provide high-quality patient care. The role is open to people with no prior patient care experience.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to the hygiene needs of patients who require assistance or are bedbound
• Orally feed patients who need help with eating
• Assist with lifting, moving and transporting patients
• Ensure patient safety and support their social and emotional wellbeing through suitable activities
• Maintain a clean, well-organised and pleasant environment for all patients
• Follow infection control practices when caring for patients
• Perform other duties assigned by the nurse manager

Required profile

• No prior patient care experience is required
• Candidates holding a WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare (Nursing) may be considered for the Care Support Associate position
• Minimum qualification: PSLE or WPLN
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
