Building Engineering Inspector

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Building Engineering Inspector to support building and infrastructure inspection projects across Singapore. The role involves conducting site inspections, identifying defects, preparing reports and coordinating with stakeholders and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and conduct site inspections with clients, Qualified Persons and other stakeholders.
• Perform condition assessments and structural inspections of existing buildings, including façade inspections.
• Review and manage geotechnical and civil engineering works such as excavation, piling, ground improvement and slope stabilization.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies (BCA, PUB, URA) for project submissions and approvals.
• Verify subcontractor claims, monitor project progress and maintain inspection schedules.

Required profile

• Higher NITEC, Diploma or equivalent in Civil, Building or Structural Engineering.
• Good communication and report‑writing skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of BCA regulations and inspection requirements (preferred).
