Business Analyst Traineeship – Government Programme

About the role

This traineeship supports the Assistant Director of OneNS Product Management in shaping the National Service (NS) Business Architecture. You will work across MINDEF, SAF and DSTA to translate strategic visions into practical process improvements and digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business process re‑engineering for NS operations, training, policy, HR and IT.
• Create as‑is baseline documentation and design to‑be processes aligned with business drivers.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking or TOGAF to diagnose inefficiencies and propose future‑state designs.
• Facilitate co‑design workshops with stakeholders to secure buy‑in for new processes.
• Translate re‑engineered processes into product and system requirements for product leads.
• Conduct UX research, usability testing and map user journeys to identify pain points.
• Lead change‑management activities to ensure adoption of new processes and systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Public Policy or related field.
• Exposure to digital strategy, enterprise IT or business transformation (advantageous).
• Experience in large, complex organisations or the public sector (advantageous).
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture, SaaS/cloud delivery models and business capability modelling.
