Business Controller, East Asia Pacific (VIE Program)

About the role

The Finance and Operations Control team in Singapore oversees and analyzes the financial performance of the East Asia Pacific (EAP) Cluster, covering 12 countries and 4 business lines. The Business Controller provides Cluster management with financial and relevant non-financial information to understand current performance and forecast its evolution, working closely with country-level business controllers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly flash reports and quarterly OIVA, highlight exceptional and financial risks, and work with the Financial Controller on accurate financial statements
• Conduct transversal analyses down to gross margin (profitability by customer, pricing evolution, Helium reporting, efficiencies)
• Review major projects (execution, capex, SUP/RUP impacts) with the Investment Control team
• Monitor gaps versus targets, identify corrective actions and KPIs, and manage landing
• Lead (re)forecasting exercises (RF1, RF2, RF3, target, mid-term planning, ad-hoc forecasts) and ensure alignment with management's long-term objectives
• Prepare management presentations, board meetings and business reviews
• Improve and standardize analysis, tools and deliverables across the Cluster and countries

Required profile

• More than 3 years of solid business analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industrial sector
• Sound understanding of financial statements and strong proficiency with numerical data
• Clear, concise communication, able to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
• Stakeholder management, adaptability, resilience under tight deadlines, and commercial acumen
• Eligibility for the French VIE program (under 29 years old, EU national); permanent employees cannot be considered except for fixed-term contracts eligible for the program

Required skills

• Technical proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and Power BI
• Financial statement analysis and forecasting
