About the role
The Business Development Manager will lead industry engagement and partnership development for the SmartPrecinct@PDD initiative, attracting robotics and AI companies to collaborate on test‑bedding and applied research projects.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and engage robotics companies, technology providers, startups, and research partners to participate in the SmartPrecinct programme.
- Work closely with technical teams to align industry use cases with SmartPrecinct infrastructure and capabilities.
- Support the development of joint projects, prepare collaboration contracts/agreements, and onboard companies into the ecosystem.
- Document and report on partnership outcomes and collaboration results.
Required profile
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, robotics, AI, cybersecurity, business, or related fields.
- Ideally 5+ years of experience in business development, innovation partnerships, or technology ecosystem development.
- Strong networking, relationship‑building, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with government programmes or public‑sector innovation initiatives is advantageous.
