C# Backend Developer (12-Month Contract)

About the role

Julius Baer's Global Products Solution (GPS) Technology department develops and strengthens its software engineering expertise and implements modern platforms covering execution, sales and trading. As a highly motivated and experienced C# developer, you will build, maintain and enhance financial platforms and applications, ensuring high performance, security and scalability. This is a 12-month contract role with an external agency payroll provider.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in Program Increment (PI) planning and all Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Design, develop and implement high-quality software for financial products and services, working with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs in C#, optimise server-side performance and protect data integrity and security.
• Integrate financial systems and third-party services so data flows smoothly between them.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices, including code reviews, testing and CI/CD.
• Diagnose and fix technical issues across the stack, supporting both development and production environments.
• Support change management and release rollout planning, and provide local post-implementation support in Asia.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, focused on C# backend development.
• Experience in the financial industry is desirable.
• Able to work independently and in a global team with members in Singapore and Switzerland, and to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficient C# programming.
• Good knowledge of MongoDB and MS SQL.
• Good knowledge of RabbitMQ, gRPC and GraphQL.
• Strong code review skills and good communication with stakeholders at all levels.
