C++ Market Connectivity Engineer

A major financial institution in Singapore is looking for a C++ Market Connectivity engineer to develop low-latency, scalable systems that connect to multiple financial markets and exchange platforms. Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of low-latency C++ applications for market connectivity.
• Build and review secure, high-quality production code while debugging, and manage performance diagnostics and tooling on Unix/Linux systems.
• Influence design and operational strategies to improve latency and stability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in electronic trading architecture and performance engineering.
• Advocate for best practices, SDLC frameworks and reuse of coding patterns, and guide the adoption of leading-edge technologies.

Required profile

• Right to work in Singapore.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in low-latency system design and development with C++ and C.
• Advanced expertise in C++, supported by formal training or certification.
• Proven experience delivering system design, application development, testing and operational stability in production.

Required skills

• Proficiency with C++ on Unix/Linux, including performance diagnostics.
• Scripting skills to automate development, testing and operational workflows.
• Strong understanding of hardware-software interaction for low-latency systems.
• Knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architectures.
