Cargo Superintendent – Heavy Lift Operations

About the role
Roll Group is seeking a Cargo Superintendent to lead cargo‑related operations for heavy‑lift projects worldwide. Based in Singapore, you will work on semi‑submersible dock ships and wide‑deck carriers that transport oversized cargo such as offshore wind turbine monopiles, mega yachts, and refinery modules.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare loading and discharging feasibility checks, including tide, quay, bollard and fender assessments.
- Perform ballast and stability calculations for each voyage.
- Develop loading, discharging and sea‑fastening plans and associated drawings.
- Coordinate equipment, resources and activities required for cargo operations.
- Provide project parties with all necessary documents, plans and drawings.
- Conduct on‑site project and safety meetings.
- Execute loading, sea‑fastening and discharging operations aboard vessels.
- Report on‑site activities and produce CSI reports, feeding lessons learned to the Manager of Cargo Operations.
- Evaluate operational feasibility for bids and tenders, including cost elements for the Commercial department.
Required profile
- Higher Vocational Education in Maritime Officer, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in cargo supervision or a similar maritime role.
Required skills
- Ballast and stability calculation.

- Project coordination for heavy‑lift cargo operations.
