Category Manager – Indirect Category (Malaysia & Singapore)

About the role

Heineken is seeking a Category Manager for Indirect categories to lead sourcing and supplier management across Malaysia and Singapore. The role will shape category strategies, drive cost savings and support the company’s EverGreen growth agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for indirect spend across Malaysia and Singapore.
• Identify and deliver procurement value through cost savings, cost avoidance, cash‑flow improvement, supplier innovation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Drive category harmonisation, specification alignment and supplier consolidation across the cluster.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities including market assessments, tenders, negotiations and contract execution.
• Manage strategic contracts and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, service and commercial commitments.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, conduct performance reviews and implement improvement plans.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide procurement expertise, challenge demand and specifications, and support business planning and budgeting.
• Monitor supply‑market developments, supplier risks and business‑continuity issues, and ensure compliance with internal controls and procurement policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and executing category strategies for indirect spend.
• Demonstrated ability to lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes and manage strategic contracts.
• Experience working with internal business partners and managing supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with risk monitoring, compliance and governance in procurement.
