Chemical Process Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to join our client’s environmental services team in Tuas. The role focuses on analysing and improving plant processes to boost efficiency, productivity and quality while ensuring safety.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, evaluate, and improve plant processes to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Monitor process performance, interpret operational data, and support digital process monitoring systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend process improvements.
• Develop, implement, and optimise operating procedures and process documentation.
• Support plant operations, maintenance activities, and process troubleshooting.
• Participate in process safety initiatives, including risk studies and safety management activities.
• Coordinate process improvement projects, plant shutdown planning, and implementation of new operational procedures.
• Ensure projects are completed within established timelines and budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in a process plant, chemical manufacturing, or industrial operations environment.
• Knowledge of process optimisation, safety management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
