Civil Engineer – Construction Management

About the role

The Civil Engineer will report to the Construction Manager and take charge of overseeing construction activities around the existing SPPG tunnel, GTP and PUB infrastructure. This role involves close coordination with clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise construction works near existing tunnel and utility structures.
• Coordinate daily activities among client, consultant and subcontractor teams.
• Conduct regular inspections and checks to verify compliance with safety, quality, environmental and HSE requirements.
• Handle technical and engineering issues that arise on site.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all construction activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Singapore PE Board.
• Registered Resident Engineer with IES/BCA and valid Singapore certification.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years supervising vehicular structures and road projects.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, self‑motivated and team‑oriented.

Required skills

• Piling and reinforced concrete (RC) works expertise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of CSCPM, BCSS, confined‑space and work‑at‑height procedures.
