Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking a Quantity Surveyor to manage measurements and cost estimates, prepare bills of quantities and tender documents, evaluate tenders, monitor costs and variations, manage payments, ensure contract compliance, and liaise with clients, project managers, subcontractors and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prepare measurements and cost estimates for construction projects from initial calculations to final accounts.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and negotiate where appropriate.
• Prepare cost analysis and monitor project overruns to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Access payment and variation works to client and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow.
• Communicate with client, management, subcontractors and track progression of main and sub‑contracts.
• Monitor project progress, measurements, valuation of variations, interim payments and final account.
• Ensure projects comply with contractual terms and conditions.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to assess impact of changes on budgets and timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of both civil and architectural aspects is preferable.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Experience in tendering for projects.
