Civil Engineer (Infrastructure & Geotechnical Projects)

About the role

HDB is seeking engineers with drive, initiative and innovative ideas to help shape the future of HDB towns. The role covers planning and managing civil engineering projects, including infrastructure and geotechnical works, and is offered as a 1+1 year contract.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage civil engineering projects, including infrastructure and geotechnical engineering works.
• Conduct feasibility, traffic impact and environmental studies.
• Analyse civil engineering challenges and provide cost-effective solutions, including preparing cost estimates and schedules.
• Coordinate and supervise the tendering process, engineering design works, supervision works and project management of consultancy and construction works.
• Manage projects to meet budgets and deadlines.
• Communicate with government agencies and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant background in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Prior experience in infrastructure, geotechnical, traffic or hydraulic engineering projects is an asset.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering design and analysis software is an asset.
• Strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, determination and creative thinking.
