Client Management Lead Consultant - Health & Benefits

About the role

A global advisory and insurance broker is looking for a Client Management Lead Consultant in Singapore through its partner agency. The role manages customer relationships in the health and benefits (H&B) area, defines the scope of methodologies and proposals, and oversees complex client projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer relationships in the health and benefits area
• Define the scope of methodology, proposal preparation and consulting contracts
• Project manage complex clients, ensuring on-time, in-budget delivery with high quality
• Manage H&B vendor renewals and negotiations
• Design efficient plan designs and funding arrangements that fit client goals
• Use knowledge of national and local H&B vendor marketplaces on behalf of clients
• Deliver client reports, recommendations and presentations with strong writing and oral presentation skills
• Train account managers on new benefits, benefit changes, specific campaigns and implementation
• Provide periodic reports on medical plan performance (loss ratio, usage frequency, member profile) and annual benchmarking comparisons
• Analyse the pros and cons of funded versus self-insured models and develop performance indicators
• Communicate local legislative changes affecting group life, medical and dental benefits to the HR team
• Analyse the epidemiological risk profile of the population to support health management and cost decisions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
• At least 7 years of experience with the financials of health and group benefit plans, ideally in group benefit consulting/brokerage, group health underwriting or actuarial work in insurance
• Proven record of managing projects and delivering quality work on time and within budget
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Technical proficiency across multiple H&B practice disciplines and deep understanding of local compliance issues
• Certifications: M5, M9, HI, ComGI, BCP and PGI
