Cloud Administrator

About the role

The Cloud Administrator will support the administration, monitoring, security, and maintenance of Microsoft Azure GCC cloud environments. Working closely with cloud, infrastructure, database, and security teams, you will help ensure stable, secure, and efficient cloud operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and policies.
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines (Windows and Linux) and SQL Server instances hosted on Azure VMs.
• Support Azure SQL Database, including monitoring, backup verification, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Alerts.
• Maintain Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, route tables, VPN gateways, private endpoints, and private DNS zones.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, MFA, and access controls.
• Perform vulnerability management, security patching, OS hardening, and remediation tracking.
• Assist with backup, recovery, patching, and operational health checks.
• Develop and maintain basic automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and IaC tools.
• Troubleshoot cloud, server, networking, and database issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.
• Understanding of Azure SQL Database and SQL Server administration.
• Experience with Windows Server and RHEL/Linux administration.
• Knowledge of Azure networking fundamentals.
• Basic scripting experience with PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Familiarity with cloud security, identity management, and access controls.
