Cluster Accountant – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Cluster Accountant will join the finance team of Raffles Sentosa Singapore, a luxury resort on Sentosa Island. Reporting to the Assistant Director/Director of Finance, you will own the month‑end close, balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with industry accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals, pre‑payments and adjustment journal entries.
• Prepare and post journal entries, conduct inter‑company reconciliations and analyse variances for hotel operations.
• Reconcile bank accounts and all balance‑sheet items, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Produce profit & loss statements and provide variance analysis against budget/forecast for each department.
• Manage intercompany transactions between the hotel, owner and sister properties.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations and support internal audits.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and provide ad‑hoc support to accounts payable/receivable and income audit functions.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3‑5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with operations and non‑finance teams.
• Quantitative aptitude to interpret large data sets and identify performance trends.

Required skills

• Knowledge of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry).
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
