Commercial Counsel – Mid-level Legal Role (12+ month secondment)

About the role

This 12+ month secondment offers a mid‑level lawyer the chance to join the regional Group Corporate Legal department of a leading global consumer brand. The role involves providing commercial and corporate legal advice across the region while contributing to high‑visibility projects such as new product launches and business expansion initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of corporate and commercial agreements with minimal supervision.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice on regulatory, commercial and corporate matters to internal stakeholders.
• Support high‑impact projects, including product launches and market expansion efforts.
• Collaborate with regional legal teams to ensure consistent legal standards and risk management.

Required profile

• Admission to the bar in England & Wales, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, the US or Canada.
• 3–5 years of post‑qualification experience at a leading local or international law firm.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercially‑minded with a desire to gain in‑house experience.
