Commercial Manager – Modules Division

About the role

The Commercial Manager will lead the preparation, review, and management of project cost estimates and commercial submissions for the Modules Division. This position ensures accurate, timely, and competitive bids while coordinating inputs from engineering, procurement, and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for tenders and project proposals.
• Consolidate and validate inputs from engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure complete and accurate submissions.
• Analyze project costs and risks, providing recommendations for cost optimisation and bid strategy.
• Develop and maintain estimation tools, templates, and historical cost databases.
• Review and approve estimates prepared by junior estimators, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Mentor and guide estimation team members to enhance overall capability and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in estimation, cost management, or commercial roles within construction, marine, or high‑spec industrial projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, and project budgeting.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in high‑pressure environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with estimation software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills.
