Communications Specialist – 1 Year Contract

About the role

Our client is looking for a Communications Specialist to join the communications function on a one‑year contract. The role will partner with subject‑matter experts and senior leaders to create clear, engaging internal and external communications that raise the organisation’s visibility and support strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering communication initiatives aligned with organisational priorities.
• Prepare announcements, feature articles, briefing notes, leadership messages and other written content for external audiences.
• Develop presentation decks, speeches, talking points and briefing documents for senior leaders.
• Support internal communication programmes to keep employees informed and engaged.
• Contribute content for digital platforms, newsletters, publications and other channels.
• Help produce annual publications and corporate reports.
• Coordinate conferences, briefings, outreach programmes and stakeholder events.

Required profile

• Degree qualification with 6‑8 years of experience in communications, journalism or media relations.
• Strong writing and editing ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging copy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact positively and professionally at all organisational levels.
