Communications Specialist

About the role

Join Cisco’s Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China Communications team as a Communications Specialist. You will lead high‑impact initiatives that translate global business goals into compelling local stories, supporting ASEAN business priorities and driving employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated internal and external communication strategies aligned with ASEAN priorities and global themes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior ASEAN and APJ leadership on positioning, media engagement, and reputation management.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional media and manage agency partners to meet defined KPIs.
• Translate technical concepts into accessible narratives for media, customers, and employees.
• Identify emerging reputational risks and support risk‑mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 + years of professional experience in corporate communications, PR agencies, or media‑related businesses.
• Experience supporting B2B technology communications and managing integrated campaigns.
• Proven ability to coordinate with agency partners and measure performance against KPIs.
