Component Validation Engineer - HBM PSE

About the role

Micron is hiring an Engineer or Senior Engineer for Component Validation, HBM PSE at its Fab 10A site. The role covers validation runs, test program support, technical analysis and simulation, and data and automation work on high-speed I/O components such as HBM.

Key responsibilities

• Execute validation runs on IQP/ETV materials within defined timelines, covering MBIST and Native Mode flows, and support time-bound data crunching and summary reports.
• Operate and debug SM3/Cobra (MBIST) and Advantest V93K (Native) programs, and help with handler, socket, loadboard and probe card setup.
• Validate high-speed I/O (>11 Gbps) and assist with eye diagram and signal integrity checks.
• Support Verilog simulation tasks (testbench execution, waveform review) to reproduce sightings and validate fixes.
• Write basic Python scripts for log parsing and data visualization, and maintain documentation in Confluence/Jira and version control in Git/Perforce.
• Take part in root cause analysis and corrective action closure, and collaborate with Design, DV, QA and GQ teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related) with experience, or an MS in EE/CE.
• 2+ years of experience in semiconductor validation or product engineering (DRAM/HBM preferred).
• Exposure to HBM validation concepts and flows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic test platform code development (C++, Python) and familiarity with APG (Algorithmic Pattern Generator).
• Understanding of MBIST and Native Mode testing platforms.
• Verilog simulation exposure (testbenches, waveforms).
• Preferred: Linux, Git/SVN, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, DRAM/HBM architecture knowledge.
