Conflicts Attorney – Singapore

About the role

The Conflicts Attorney will be based in Singapore and will support the firm’s conflict clearance process for new clients, new matters, and lateral attorney hires. Reporting to the Director, Conflicts Attorneys & Assistant General Counsel, the role works closely with the Office of General Counsel, Legal Operations, and partners across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze conflict‑of‑interest reports for new representations and lateral hires to ensure compliance with firm policies and professional responsibility rules.
• Resolve conflict issues, including obtaining waivers and drafting ethics‑wall memoranda.
• Review new matter requests for policy compliance and edit draft engagement letters accordingly.
• Communicate proactively with partners and management on complex conflict matters.
• Supervise Resolution Analysts and conduct staff orientation on the matter‑approval process.
• Maintain accurate records of conflict resolutions and related communications.
• Develop templates and frameworks for conflict analysis in specific practice areas.
• Perform corporate research and other duties as assigned by General Counsel or Legal Operations.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of conflict‑of‑interest principles under professional responsibility rules in multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience analyzing conflicts of interest and applying conflict‑management policies.
• Ability to draft waivers, ethics‑wall memos, and engagement letters.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with partners, committees, and governance teams.
• Leadership experience supervising analysts and delivering training.
