Corporate Communications Specialist (6-Month Maternity Cover)

About the role

An established aviation innovation organisation is looking for a Corporate Communications Specialist on a six-month maternity cover contract in Singapore. The role covers day-to-day corporate communications and leads a large-scale networking event for research partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day corporate communications and keep positioning consistent across digital, editorial and media channels
• Produce the monthly newsletter from content collection and drafting to final distribution
• Plan, write and publish content for the corporate social media presence
• Maintain website content and coordinate stakeholder input for an upcoming website refresh
• Act as first point of contact for media enquiries and coordinate responses internally
• Lead a networking event for up to 200 attendees, including venue selection, vendor management, on-site delivery and post-event reporting
• Work with senior leadership and internal stakeholders while managing several priorities independently

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or a comparable field
• Experience managing editorial calendars and corporate social media accounts
• Experience handling media enquiries and organising events for more than 100 attendees
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail
• Ability to manage concurrent projects with limited supervision

Required skills

• Familiarity with website content management systems is advantageous
• Visual content creation with tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is beneficial
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and verbal communication skills
