Country Nursing and Quality Manager

About the role

Fresenius Medical Care, a global leader in kidney care, is looking for a Country Nursing and Quality Manager in Singapore. The role provides strategic and functional leadership for nursing services across the Singapore clinic network, sets nursing standards and quality, and works closely with the Country Medical Director and clinic management.

Key responsibilities

• Nursing leadership and governance: lead clinic Head Nurses and nursing leaders, set objectives and standards, maintain a governance framework covering accountability, delegation and clinical decision-making, and act as the senior nursing escalation point.
• Quality and safety: run the country nursing quality agenda and QMS, develop quality and patient safety indicators, lead clinical and nursing audits and root cause investigations, strengthen incident reporting and infection prevention and control, and oversee medication safety, vascular access and dialysis safety.
• Regulatory compliance: keep nursing practice compliant with Singapore healthcare legislation, MOH requirements, HCSA licensing conditions and the Singapore Nursing Board, prepare for inspections and audits, and coordinate responses to findings and complaints.
• Policies and standards: develop and harmonise nursing policies, procedures and guidelines, drive continuous improvement, implement new practices and benchmark practice against recognised standards.
• Education and competency: oversee the nursing education and competency plan, partner with clinical education to deliver training and leadership development, and assess competency for high-risk activities.
• Service development: contribute to clinic expansion and new models of care, assess nursing implications of new services and technologies, and use data and digital tools to improve documentation, reporting and quality management.
• Reporting: represent nursing and quality at country level, provide regular country-level reporting and maintain a nursing and quality dashboard, and escalate material risks to Country Management.
