Hemodialysis Nurse

About the role

Fresenius Medical Care is looking for Staff Nurses to work in its dialysis centers across Singapore, delivering life-sustaining care to patients with chronic kidney disease. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, provide dialysis treatments, monitor patient progress and offer compassionate support.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care in the hemodialysis setting, assessing patients before, during and after dialysis
• Follow all FMC policies and work instructions on clinical and operational management
• Review blood test results and report abnormalities to the Medical Director
• Educate patients on diet, fluid, medication and blood pressure management, and encourage adjustment to chronic kidney disease
• Monitor the water treatment system and dialysis fluids to ensure safe, quality therapy
• Maintain good communication with patients and relatives and promote a safe, healthy environment in line with IPC and environmental policies
• Keep equipment clean, safe and in good working order, and report defects
• Keep accurate patient records in the TDMS/EuClid clinical information system, respecting confidentiality and privacy
• Report incidents, hazards and opportunities for improvement in the quality improvement process

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in nursing
• Registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
• Minimum 1 year as a registered nurse in Singapore (for foreign applicants); renal nurse experience is required
• Certified and valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Advanced hemodialysis training is a plus
