CPEE Principal / Senior Engineer - SEAL

About the role

Micron is looking for a CPEE Principal / Senior Engineer SEAL to lead Manufacturing Excellence initiatives across its global manufacturing sites. The role drives sustainable productivity improvements through standardization, SEAL deployment, Wafer Per Day (WPD) improvements and Intelligent Solutions, using process optimization, best-known method (BKM) deployment, data-driven execution and AI-enabled transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of global SEAL initiatives to standardize manufacturing BKMs and improve operational excellence.
• Drive WPD, utilization, manufacturing availability and productivity improvements through process and equipment optimization.
• Partner with site and global stakeholders to identify performance gaps and execute improvement roadmaps, and align technology nodes and fabs.
• Conduct power walks, performance reviews and opportunity assessments, and track and report program progress and KPIs to leadership.
• Identify, develop and deploy AI-enabled engineering solutions, including Generative AI, AI agents, automation tools and advanced analytics, to simplify workflows and speed root cause analysis.
• Develop and scale AI-assisted workflows for manufacturing monitoring, productivity tracking and BKM deployment, and train and mentor teams on AI use.
• Collaborate with IT, SMAI and engineering teams on digital transformation, and partner with global site champions as a subject matter expert on pilot programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science, Data Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience in Process or Equipment Engineering.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, equipment performance, process optimization and productivity improvement.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools such as Copilot, Generative AI and AI agents.
• Preferred: advanced degree, experience with SEAL deployment and digital manufacturing programs, hands-on AI agent development, and data analytics or machine learning experience.
