Customer Engineering Services Engineer – Bulk Gas Systems

About the role

The Customer Engineering Services (CES) Engineer will lead projects that design, install and commission bulk gas systems for Linde and its customers. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget while maintaining the reliability of Linde‑owned assets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee design and installation projects for bulk gas systems.
• Verify engineering calculations such as pressure drop, velocity and temperature.
• Collaborate with design, safety and HAZOP teams to ensure project success.
• Develop project plans, budgets and timelines; monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Liaise with procurement, vendors and contractors to optimise cost and quality.
• Perform risk assessments and enforce safety protocols in line with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and start‑up.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, datasheets and reports.
• Work with drafters to produce AutoCAD P&ID drawings.
• Lead CES pumper projects, ensuring reliability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering with strong knowledge of VIE tanks, manifolds and piping.
• Proven project management and coordination experience.
• Excellent understanding of workplace safety regulations and risk assessment.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and communicate effectively.
• Self‑motivated team player with strong organisational skills.

Required skills

• Project management tools: Primavera, MS Project.
• Engineering software: AutoCAD, Revit (including P&ID drafting).
• Hands‑on experience with rotating and static equipment.
• Knowledge of pumper and purging operations.
