Customer Relations Cashier (Part-Time)

About the role

IKEA Tampines is hiring a part-time Customer Relations Cashier. Reporting to the Checkout Manager and Team Leaders, you ensure an easy buying experience for customers throughout the payment process, making the checkout efficient, payments reliable, accurate and friendly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in opening and closing the checkout counter, including cash handling and deposits.
• Support customers with enquiries and help resolve escalated issues.
• Help customers scan products, operate scanning equipment and fix transaction technical issues.
• Handle cash transactions and receive and process all payments according to standard operating procedures.
• Follow department standard operating procedures and comply with department audits.
• Support the department in achieving its KPIs and main actions.
• Multi-task and support other functions of the Customer Relations Department when required.

Required profile

• Customer-service oriented, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Committed, responsible team player who can cope in a fast-paced environment.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, observant and comfortable handling cash transactions.
• Strong integrity and sincerity in work.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods and handle heavy merchandise.
• Available for AM/PM shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills
