Customer Service Manager – Transportation

About the role

Lead and develop a team of customer service professionals within the Transportation Department of SH Cogent Logistics, ensuring seamless handling of client enquiries and the successful execution of trucking and shipping jobs.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of customer service staff and handle major client enquiries.
• Create and manage trucking jobs, updating container details in the system.
• Coordinate closely with the Operations Team to monitor job execution and provide timely shipment updates.
• Advise customers on delivery schedules, maintain inventory reports, and close monthly accounts.
• Maintain high‑level customer relationships and manage third‑party communications.
• Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including billing, accruals, and invoice verification.
• Support permit declarations when required and prepare customer quotations.
• Analyse operational and financial data for management reporting.
• Drive team development through cross‑training and improvement plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in third‑party logistics or supply‑chain operations.
• Proven experience leading a customer service team.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to communicate feedback verbally and in writing.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
