Cybersecurity Engineer – Security Programmes (Contract)

About the role

You will lead and deliver cybersecurity programmes across the organisation, overseeing end‑to‑end projects with internal and external stakeholders to improve the security posture and compliance. The role combines project management, stakeholder coordination and hands‑on execution of cyber‑exercise and awareness initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute complex cyber‑exercise scenarios involving multiple business and technology teams, managing vendors, procurement and security clearances.
• Monitor exercise flow, analyse performance, consolidate lessons learned and track remediation actions across departments.
• Design and run end‑to‑end phishing simulation campaigns, analyse results, and deliver targeted education and remediation programmes.
• Manage the mandatory cybersecurity e‑learning programme, ensuring 100 % completion, handling escalations and maintaining audit‑ready documentation.
• Develop and disseminate evidence‑based cybersecurity advisories aligned with exercise schedules to maximise impact.
• Coordinate budgets, timelines and resources for cybersecurity events, liaising with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing security‑related programmes or projects in a corporate environment.
• Strong ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret exercise and simulation data and drive actionable improvements.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on compliance, documentation and audit readiness.

Required skills

• Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework or ISO 27001 standards.
