Data Engineer – Data Quality & Monitoring

About the role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to own data quality and system reliability for a fast‑moving trading firm. You will build robust monitoring frameworks, automate manual processes and continuously improve our data infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Own data quality, monitoring and anomaly detection across critical data pipelines.
- Explore data sets to surface features, issues and insights, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Standardise monitoring methodologies and champion best practices across teams.
- Automate repetitive support tasks to increase system resilience and reduce manual effort.
- Use data‑driven metrics to track system health and guide operational priorities.
Required profile
- High energy, proactive mindset with strong opinions and willingness to challenge the status‑quo.
- Enjoys collaborative environments and constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring, observability and data reliability.
