Data Engineer – Data Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Data Engineer will own the operation and maintenance of Xiaomi's overseas data warehouses, covering mobile device, IoT and app data. You will work closely with business teams to translate complex processes into scalable big‑data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain overseas data warehouse platforms for mobile, IoT and app data.
• Analyse Xiaomi's business processes, abstract them into data models, and design suitable big‑data architectures.
• Iteratively improve and expand the data warehouse to support testing and data‑driven decision making.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data quality and availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team; Mandarin is a plus.
• Solid understanding of core computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms and operating systems.

Required skills

• Experience with big‑data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Doris, Kudu, Iceberg.
• Proficient programming ability for data‑engineer tasks.
