Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain data lakes and data warehouses using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services. The role involves end‑to‑end development of data pipelines and ensuring data quality for both transactional and analytical workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise end‑to‑end data lake and data warehouse solutions, preferably on Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory.
• Design, implement and maintain data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
• Model and design databases for transactional and analytical systems, including performance tuning of large data sets.
• Work with master data management processes, especially in customer‑related domains.
• Collaborate on big‑data initiatives and support DataSecOps practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end data lake/warehouse development.
• Strong background in Azure data services and Microsoft Fabric.
• Hands‑on scripting expertise with Python and PySpark.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, database design and SQL performance tuning.
• Experience with master data management and big‑data environments.
