Demi Chef – Kitchen Table

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Demi Chef to join the culinary team at The Kitchen Table, located at 21 Ocean Way, Singapore. In this full‑time position you will assist in preparing special meals, maintaining food quality, and supporting the kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Control oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and manage food thawing from freezer to refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portioning, plating, garnish and maintain accurate food logs.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Notify service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching, while acting as a role model.
• Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies, report incidents and complete required certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of company information.
• Perform physical duties such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lb, and reaching overhead or below knee level.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum three years of relevant culinary experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
