Deputy / Assistant Director, Enforcement (Investigator)

About the role

The Enforcement Department of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) protects the integrity of Singapore's financial markets by deterring unlawful and improper conduct through surveillance and enforcement, using digital forensics, market surveillance and data analytics. This role investigates offences and regulatory breaches of the Financial Advisers Act and the Securities and Futures Act, and works as a member of the MAS-CAD joint investigation arrangement, where you will be gazetted as a Commercial Affairs Officer with criminal investigative power.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate offences and regulatory breaches of the Financial Advisers Act and the Securities and Futures Act
• Work closely with other investigators, surveillance and computer forensic officers and legal officers
• Provide litigation support in prosecution, civil penalty court action and regulatory appeals
• Gain insight into how capital markets participants operate and the rules and regulations governing them

Required profile

• At least 3 years of working experience
• Interest in investigation work
• Prior relevant experience is an added advantage
• Able to manage multiple priorities and respond to change in a fast-paced environment
