Deputy Constituency Director – Serangoon

About the role

The Deputy Constituency Director (DCD) partners with the Constituency Director to act as the master planner for community initiatives in Serangoon. This senior role drives strategic planning, coordination, and implementation of programmes that build social capital and promote national unity.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and review strategic plans for Grassroots Organisations (GROs) to create a livable, harmonious neighbourhood.
• Lead the Annual Constituency Workplan, aligning GROs and community partners with national objectives.
• Facilitate and guide Grassroots Leaders and GROs in community‑building activities and stakeholder engagement.
• Chair monthly Citizens’ Consultative Committee and Community Centre/Club Management Committee meetings.
• Provide administrative support, oversee office operations, and ensure proper accounting and cash management in line with PA financial rules.
• Gather and analyse resident feedback, communicate government policies, and channel insights to improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in community development, grassroots coordination, or public administration.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Ability to plan, execute, and evaluate large‑scale community programmes.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with residents, government agencies, and corporate partners.
