Deputy Project Director

About the role

Thales is looking for a Deputy Project Director to support the delivery of a high‑value, €130 million program in Singapore. The role will ensure rigorous governance of schedule, budget and stakeholder engagement while building a foundation for long‑term project excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for delivering critical program milestones and maintaining schedule, budget and stakeholder governance.
• Provide PMO reporting (schedule risks, workload, Earned Value KPI’s) to the central PMO and ensure consistent consolidation at project level.
• Deputise the Project Director, representing the project to customers and internal stakeholders and coordinating work across France, Australia and Singapore teams.
• Manage work‑package preparation, regular progress reviews and the end‑to‑end project lifecycle, including transition and launch.
• Execute, monitor and control project execution to meet timelines, budgets and contractual requirements.
• Identify, anticipate and mitigate risks, issuing early‑warning alerts to the Project Management team.
• Support generation of future orders and maintain customer satisfaction throughout the project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Management or equivalent, or demonstrated experience in contract law/management.
• Minimum 10 years of program/project management experience, with at least 15 years overall experience.
• Proven experience in offer and/or project management (PMO or Project Manager) across the full program lifecycle.
• Certified Project Management professional (e.g., PMP, IPMA).
