Deputy Project Manager – Construction

About the role

The Deputy Project Manager (Construction) will support the Project Manager in delivering large‑scale mixed‑development projects, ensuring site works progress on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update master construction programmes and catch‑up schedules.
• Plan site access, tower‑crane erection/dismantling and coordinate subcontractors.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies before work starts and liaise with technical teams and consultants.
• Develop preliminaries, budgeting, and monitor cost reports.
• Forecast equipment, material and manpower needs, and control usage and wastage.
• Communicate regularly with clients, architects, and engineers, providing progress updates.
• Oversee quality control, health and safety compliance on site.
• Identify schedule risks early and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including consultants and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience on mixed‑development (hotel and condo) projects.
• At least one full project cycle with a value of $100 M +.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end construction processes and methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder‑management and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
