Deputy/Assistant Director, AI Development (NAIC Secretariat)

About the role

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is recruiting a Deputy/Assistant Director to act as its secretariat for all matters relating to the National AI Council (NAIC). The role coordinates MAS's participation in NAIC and related inter-agency platforms, supports senior management engagements, drives follow-up on national AI priorities and helps shape MAS's contributions to AI policy, ecosystem development and strategic national initiatives. It is a 3-year contract.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of strategic AI initiatives for the financial sector, coordinating stakeholders, tracking milestones and monitoring outcomes
• Coordinate MAS's participation in cross-agency AI initiatives involving multiple government agencies and stakeholders
• Engage with government agencies, financial institutions, technology firms, AI companies, research institutions and ecosystem partners to align priorities and drive collective action
• Develop workplans, monitor progress across workstreams and help resolve implementation issues
• Coordinate inputs, track deliverables, prepare briefing materials and support senior management engagements

Required profile

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategy, policy development, programme management, consulting, technology, economic development or the public sector
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and turn strategic priorities into workplans and outcomes
• Strong programme and project management skills, including managing timelines, interdependencies, risks and reporting across workstreams
• Strong writing and presentation skills, with experience preparing policy papers, senior management briefs and executive-level presentations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and tight deadlines
