Design Engineer – Mechanical (Junior)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join our engineering team in West Tuas, Singapore. This junior‑level position focuses on creating and refining mechanical solutions for oilfield equipment, ensuring they meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions that balance technical performance and quality for customers.
• Design products that satisfy specific client requirements.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical specifications, operating procedures, and maintenance manuals.
• Create and implement new product testing and acceptance procedures.
• Conduct in‑plant equipment tests on newly designed products to verify functionality and compliance.
• Participate in customer consultations, project discussions, and design review meetings.
• Perform detailed engineering tasks and produce/review production drawings for accuracy.
• Handle any ad‑hoc duties assigned by the team.

Required profile

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in oilfield equipment design; prior experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to undergo training if lacking direct experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks software.
