Design Engineer – Mechanical (Oilfield Equipment)

About the role

We are seeking a Design Engineer to develop engineering solutions and design products for our land and offshore engineering projects in West Tuas, Singapore. The role involves creating technical specifications, testing procedures, and supporting customers throughout the design process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions that optimise technical and quality aspects for customers.
• Design products to meet specific customer requirements.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical specifications, operating and maintenance procedures.
• Develop and implement new product testing and acceptance procedures.
• Conduct in‑plant equipment tests on newly designed products to ensure functionality and compliance.
• Participate in customer consultations, project discussions and design review meetings.
• Perform detailed engineering tasks and create/review production drawings for accuracy.
• Carry out any ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in oilfield equipment design is an advantage, but training is provided for candidates without experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks software.
