Desktop/IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Desktop/IT Support Engineer to provide both onsite and remote assistance to our clients. You will be responsible for maintaining IT equipment, handling user requests, and ensuring smooth operation of hardware and software across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service IT peripherals, including backup and recovery procedures.
• Set up, install, reinstall, or migrate hardware and software assets.
• Relocate IT equipment within client premises as needed.
• Provide onsite support, remote assistance via phone/email, and standby coverage.
• Handle end‑user IT requests and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Administer user profiles and manage access rights.
• Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., IBM, HP, Microsoft) for issue escalation and resolution.
• Place service calls and follow up until problems are fully resolved.
• Install and configure software according to customer standards.

Required profile

• Minimum ITE/Diploma in IT or equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in an IT support role.
• Strong customer service orientation and good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player who takes initiative.
