DevOps Engineer

About the role

A team responsible for automated deployments, reliability and scalability is looking for a self-motivated DevOps Engineer. The role works closely with development, infrastructure and product teams to deliver, maintain and fix build errors, and to promote a DevOps culture across the end-to-end release process.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, back up, deploy and maintain systems day to day
• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (Jenkins)
• Write scripts for service monitoring and health checks
• Automate scalable environments with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps, including Kubernetes
• Automate security hardening in test, deployment and production
• Advise on solution design and continuously look for tools to improve production systems
• Drive improvements to the release process and carry out other duties assigned by the Team Lead or Solution Architect

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience in an AWS cloud environment
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve abstract system administration problems
• Experience documenting manuals, guides, troubleshooting procedures and system designs
• Experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS and routing load balancing
• Strong self-learning ability and interest in new technologies

Required skills

• AWS services (EC2, RDS, ELB, EFS, ELK, ElasticCache, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, EKS) and other clouds (AliCloud, GCP, Azure)
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus, Maven, Spinnaker
• Quality and management tools such as Sonar and Jira
• Docker and Kubernetes; infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, CloudFormation
• APM tools such as Jaeger, OpenTracing, App Mesh, AWS X-Ray
• Hands-on experience with Vault, Grafana, Prometheus, Keycloak
• Scripting (Terraform, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, JavaScript, Python, Groovy) and Ubuntu/Debian system administration
• DevSecOps tools and practices

What we offer

• Permanent position, full-time, Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm
• Salary package of up to $7,500 plus AWS and VB allowances
