Director, Facilities Construction

About the role

Micron is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Singapore. The Director, F10 Facilities Construction will lead the construction of the Fab 10 expansion projects, acting as Micron's owner's representative across the full construction lifecycle. The role is accountable for the budget, schedule and safety performance of the main contractor, the handover of systems to the sustaining team and ensuring global lessons learnt are built into design. It leads a multi-discipline construction team and works closely with site Facilities, Corporate EHS and Global teams on some of the most technically complex cleanroom and manufacturing projects in the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the construction of the Fab 10 expansions, including budget control, schedule and safety performance of the main contractor, and act as owner's representative to the General Contractor, driving project controls and escalating deviations early with recovery plans.
• Work with construction program managers and the sustaining team to ensure smooth handover of systems, with commissioning, documentation and operational readiness meeting sustaining-team requirements.
• Implement safety and well-being programs with the EHS Construction Program Manager, Corporate EHS team and General Contractor EHS, and drive compliance with Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations while tracking leading safety indicators.
• Enlist Global teams for design input, capture lessons learnt and incorporate them where applicable, and provide buildability and construction-sequencing input during detailed design.
• Lead and develop a multi-discipline team of construction managers, program managers and engineers, and partner with the MSH / Fab 10B construction lead and F10 SPMO to keep standards and resources consistent across the Singapore expansion.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Building/Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of construction experience on large-scale industrial, semiconductor, cleanroom or mission-critical facility projects.
• 8+ years leading managers and multi-discipline teams.
• Proven track record delivering large capital projects as owner's representative or main-contractor project lead.
• Preferred: construction leadership on greenfield or brownfield semiconductor fab expansions in Singapore or Asia, familiarity with Singapore authority submissions (BCA, SCDF, NEA, PUB), experience applying global design standards and lessons-learnt frameworks across a multi-site network, and PE registration or a recognized project management certification such as PMP.

Required skills

• Construction management of semiconductor fabs or cleanrooms, including MEP, CSA and process utility systems.
• Main contractor management and project controls: budget control, scheduling, change orders and claims.
• Construction safety management under Singapore WSH regulations.
• Commissioning (L1-L5) and system handover to operations/sustaining teams.
• Strategic leadership, stakeholder influence and clear executive communication.
