Director, Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

ESR is seeking a Director‑level Human Resources Business Partner to lead people strategy across its corporate headquarters and regional platforms. This senior, hands‑on role blends strategic partnership with operational execution, supporting senior leaders as the organisation evolves post‑privatisation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to C‑suite and regional business leaders on organisation design, talent, culture and workforce planning.
• Translate business strategy into people priorities, driving organisational capability and performance.
• Lead organisational effectiveness initiatives, simplification, and structural efficiency in partnership with the Transformation office.
• Drive change‑management programmes, helping leaders navigate ambiguity and organisational evolution.
• Partner with HR Centres of Excellence, Shared Services and in‑country teams to implement enterprise‑wide people initiatives.
• Coach managers on employee‑relations matters, monitor sentiment and mitigate ER risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a strategic HR business partner at senior level.
• Strong corporate financial fluency and ability to understand fund‑management models.
• Demonstrated capability to influence senior stakeholders and build long‑term trusted relationships.
• Experience leading organisational design, workforce planning and transformation projects.
• Comfort operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with a pragmatic execution mindset.
